Born in 1973 as a neighbourhood café by Anna Maria Barbieri and her husband, Antica Moka grew into one of Modena's enduring fine-dining addresses. Barbieri, from a Parmigiano-making family, still cooks – greeting guests in person – turning Emilian classics like tortellini in brodo into elevated, comforting plates, backed by a deep wine cellar.
