In the heart of Matera near Piazza del Sedile, L'Arturo is a delicatessen and wine bar where owner Arturo hand-selects Lucanian and Apulian products and builds panini and platters around them. Bread is baked fresh daily and the fillings – local cheeses, cured meats, pickles – are genuinely regional, with an air-conditioned back room to escape the heat.
